#24771 RE: mikeg2 #24770

I received some interesting information from an a NIJ contact. The typical duration time scheduled with NIJ for a NIJ armor test may span more than a week. The manufacturer will show up with a large number of plates. If the plates all fail the test, then the manufacture may bring more plates and continue the test until at least one plate passes. NIJ has felt skepticism with a schedule proposed to test the BORK product over a schedule of only less than half a day. Apparently, according to the contact, BORK believes it can pass the test quickly with out a large number of product pieces to use in order to pass the test.

Could it be that BORK is so confident with its product that BORK knows that the product will pass the test with the first effort and therefore does not need to schedule the NIJ facility for 10 days to two weeks? Well we ever know the answer of that question from BORK? I think I will seek the answer next time I arrange to visit BORK.

An additional question is answer is if BORK as concluded a plan to test the current version of he plates by making a definite appointment for the test.
