But, even if we went by free comics, Comixology comes out on top. Comixology lets you download and own the digital comic book and you don't have to pay for it by looking at annoying ads. POWFolio doesn't let you download and own any copies.
It's an apples to oranges comparison. Comixology isn't in the business to offer free comics, they sell comics. It's a bit like comparing a soup kitchen to Costco, since they both give away food. No one would say the soup kitchen is bigger than Costco, just because they give more food away.
POWFolio offers more free content to view than Comixology ( so does the Digital Comic Museum), they are not bigger. It's a big distinction that should be made when people try to compare valuations of the Comixology and POWFolio apps.
