"Time for everyone to lick their wounds, and go home with whatever money, pride, and integrity they can still salvage after this fiasco."
....and hopefully to carefully assess how they came to make the mistake so as not to repeat it. It should have instilled a little fear and/or skepticism into the people that were damaged and frankly I'm not convinced that it did.
