Comb, Not a Short, followup on the Pavilion 4430 - things are looking better now!
It has been a rough computer week because my DSL line went down for several days, finally fixed by the phone company today. Now that I'm back to speed, I did a massive updating of drivers and Windows software - 120MB worth of downloads - and both problems are fixed. WMP runs all the .avi's and 802.11g works like a champ!
The student is very happy with his setup.
