Straddles involve corporate bickering regarding whose block has how much oil.

I personally do not believe any such talks are taking place. CVX has only poked one hole. It will take 3 more wells to prove out the structure and you can bet Sinopec won't talk unitization until they poke a couple of their own.

Unitization talks are a year or more away, IMO.
