IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hop-on.com, Inc. (OTC: HPON) today announced that it has begun shipping a 50,000 unit order for its model 1806 GSM tri-band phones to a GSM carrier in Mexico through its distribution channels. This entire order will be fulfilled prior to the end of December. In addition, Hop-on today announced that it is hosting product launch events this week to promote the inaugural sales of its phones in Mexico. As previously announced on November 22nd, Hop-on opened an office in Mexico City. To further raise Hop-on's awareness in Mexico, the company will be hosting launch events in Guadalajara on December 6, Monterrey on December 7, and Mexico City on December 8. These launch promotions will serve to familiarize local distributors and sales people with Hop-on's Model 1806 GSM phone and introduce the Company's future roadmap of its growing line of wireless phones. It will also allow Hop-on to establish a relationship with local sales channels to further penetrate the Mexican market. Dan Gannon, Chief Executive Officer of Hop-on commented, "We have spent a lot of time building out our presence in Mexico this year. This is an important market for us given the demographics of the population and the clear need for a reasonably priced cell phone solution. Carriers have been very eager to work with us and today's announcement of an initial 50,000 unit shipment marks the start of what we expect to be a strong growth market for Hop-on."
