I read an article about it. There is a naval ship of some sort in Britain, and they went through some sort of democratic process of naming the boat by public, some new guy put out the idea of naming the ship Boaty McBoatface and it stuck

everyone in Britain voted to name the ship Her Majesties Ship (HMS) Boaty McBoatface, LOL

but the beurocrats turned it down, became a debate about how there is no actual democracy, funny story, also I read too much
