As yours truly, some believe REVO could have easily made a deal, of some kind, with a significant player in the home security industry. So why did they go with a shallow-pocket, no history, startup (Eyetalk)? The indications are that it involved a personal relationship/friendship, which in business, one usually tries to avoid.
In recent years, companies like Google, Microsoft, etc., were snapping up innovative upstarts similar to REVO all over the place. Some of these fledglings clearly had less potential than REVO. So why did Carter take the route that he did? Hmm? Now this potential Jewel is flopping around like a flounder out of water. But it’s still possible that great things could be in the future for this company, in spite of Carter’s stewardship. Furthermore, the wait for this company's coming-out party might be longer than we expect.
Still, hope springs eternal! Go REVO!
