Yes KG, and in addition to those with ties to Russia, there is a huge surge in tourism worldwide that is only predicted to grow more. This is one of the reasons the FAA has modernized so as to handle the demands put on them to keep up with the industry growth. With perhaps the exception of Kayak who does great DD, the majority of others think DD consists of reading old posts, they want it spoon fed. This is one reason they will be sitting on the tarmac waving to us as we taxi out for the maiden flight.

3 million Russian-Americans within 10 miles of JFK?

Did they just get here?

With such a strong need to travel back to Russia, why did Delta suspend service to Moscow, in the last quarter of 2015? Are none of those 3 million from Moscow or somewhere near it?

On Wednesday, Delta Air Lines announced it will suspend service to Moscow during the final three months of this year, meaning that no U.S. passenger carrier will fly to the Russian capital during that period. Delta has already trimmed its spring and summer service to Russia; it now flies only five times a week between New York City and Moscow, down from seven in 2014.

Looks like other Airlines have been reducing flights into Russia also.

They've been waitng nearly 27 years to buy overpriced tickets for nonstop, never going to happen, flights aboard Baltia's dreamliner. Since they have such strong ties and the need for travel back to Russia, I'm sure they'll gladly wait another 27 years for Baltia.

I hope Baltia didn't put out that statistic.
From the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce:

In 2008, an estimated 9.8 million foreign travelers entered the United States through New York City12
Out of 8.4 million people living in the city of New York, more than 3 million are foreign-born, speaking around 200 languages in every corner of the City13
According to the 2008 American Community Survey based on the language most spoken at home, there are about 207 thousand Russian-speakers in the City of New York14, and close to 258 thousand in NY Tri-State Area15
However, according to the data estimation by Russian advertising agencies, there are from 960,000 to 1,320,000 Russian-speakers in NY Tri-State Area (which is 24% of the total Russian-speaking population in the United States), counting all immigrants from Russia and CIS who speak some Russian, and about 600 thousand of Russian-speakers in New York City proper16
New York City (particularly in the Brighton Beach district) has the largest concentration of Russian-speakers than any other city in the US

Really. I had not researched that at all. So for 27 years no one has flown that route, no one has the information you have. Amazing no major carrier, American or Russian has clued in to what you know. Shocking is all I can say. Wow, you might want to consider hiring out your services as a consultant. I bet so many major carriers currently flying are not aware of that tidbit of information. I am all in!!!!! Thank you. My future is assured. Shhh, don't spread the word though, some other major carrier may apply for that vacant route. Are all those Russian emigre's from St. Petersburg? Thanks in advance for you incredible research. Wow. Thanks. I am in your debt. Seriously.

And what's more about this route.... Tourists from all over the USA, and especially those of Eastern European descent, and those of Russian descent will go to NYC, then direct to St. Pete... millions of users that now have to make the dreaded layovers in Europe then reconnect... Baltia is the no-brainer better choice. Amazingly, some cannot see this, Delta Can!!
