I suspect part of Taylor's flight and apparent antagonism was due to his being personally named in the K2 lawsuit.

It's like in Casablanca, where Taylor is shocked - shocked! - to find that there's gambling (or scamming) going on in that establishment.

It's the basis for a defense if they default on their payments, the claim that he was bamboozled like everyone else.

I doubt it would hold up. Once this den of thieves starts to get questioned by the FBI, the conspiracy will disintegrate.
