AMD, out of its own body parts to sell, now decides to sell some of Intel's body parts.

What could possibly go wrong?

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has reached a deal to allow a new joint venture in China to produce chips there using proprietary technology long considered the crown jewel of AMD and its rival Intel Corp.

This is a difficult call. China will produce servers using other chips if it can't have full access to x86, so if they aren't allowed something like this it will lead to a huge market for Power or ARM servers. It is interesting that they will only be able to use it within China, my guess is AMD has already talked to Intel.

WTF? okay we are sitting here reading our papers on our laptops! and hubby says this can't be true? so here we are again, AMD going sneaky and crappy, and truly the scum company is has always been. I suppose it will go right to litigation.. I wonder if AMD owns 51% of this chinese company? that would be interesting because I didn't think China would ever let that happen.. AMD, Almost, Maybe, Didn't.
