#32427 RE: Pennies_Envy #32426

A couple years ago TD Ameritrade had a flaw in the ThinkorSwim platform that allowed a person to enter orders below the minimum bid price. I would leave those orders open and every once in a while, I would get filled at that price.

The first time I tried it I placed an order for only a few million shares of RMTD at below minimum bid price and got filled quickly. That got me excited so I placed another 100 million shares of RMTD at .000001 and that filled immediately too. Then all hell broke loose. That trade must have set off scans or something because more volume continued and I was up 100X my investment instantly. Then trading was halted for a short time. Unfortunately, TD Ameritrade ended up calling me to notify me the order was under the minimum bid price and they were going to bust the order. So I didn't get to keep those shares.

After that, I waited for about a month and then tried again at .00001 a share. It took a week or so but the order did fill and the purchase never was busted. I sold them along with the other shares I purchased and .0001 a long time before that when the stock underwent it's mystery run later on.
