Enlighten me: do the individual judges have to ok any potential consolidation? Or can the MDL judge/board simply decide to consolidate the cases, thereby taking those cases away from the individual judges?

I was under the impression that the MDL board has the power to make the decision regardless of what the individual judges might want. It sounds like you are suggesting that I'm wrong about that. Thanks.
