And I don't think you will. My understanding is you get a much better picture with the full film then you do with "edge" and you also get a better picture than "on chip". The chip also has the highest temperature requirements but uses the least amount of qd's. I vote for the film.

No but my point was that the QD film is a huge patent of Nanosys'. It's also one their entire business model is based off, so I could see them protecting that if there's even a hint of infringement. 3M is also pretty heavily involved with that. As Bill verified, film is clearly the way to go....it's a slippery slope is all I'm saying. Nanosys has clearly been using the film since early 2012 so it'd be hard to prove that a company with no product out until 2016 or later came up with the idea.
