Maybe not as big of a problem......EBM parts do not need to be Heat Treated. The Heat Treat process is very complex with each piece needing it's own "recipe" and process in the furnace. You talk about time-consuming..... most manufacturers have to outsource this function as Heat Treat Capabilities are very complex and expensive.
This means the parts would have to be sent out and could be days or weeks before they get them back and use them in assembly. Not only that is many parts, once Heat Treated then need to be machined before assembly.
