#14116 RE: peafunke #14115

As a matter of fact, I have read my county's comprehensive plan, and the original deal struck with Bionitrogen goes against almost everything in it. From changing land classification from residential to industrial instead of using land already classified as industrial. Also, no health, noise, traffic, or citizen rights studies being done before approving a deal such as this. Also not allowing any public input. Every meeting was packed with citizens against this plan and the council and commission would listen to none of them. Are you even aware there has been no study by the EPA or anyone else on the affects of inhalation of urea? My opinion is NOT based solely on emotion. I have researched this company and the outputs of their processes, and they are NOT safe. Our county has one of the highest cancer and heart disease rates in the state thanks to the biomass powered paper mill already here. Particulate matter is deadly and is now also being linked to premature babies and birth defects. We don't need anymore of that crap here.
