facsnotfiction, going foward I prefer to think of the finances the way AMD is now reporting it. In other words, they are now a larger company with larger flash sales, larger flash revenue, and overall expenses about $1B.

However, if you want a Q2 to Q3 comparison, then it is useful to think of the old structure. Expenses in Q2 were $770M. AMD has fully realized its cost savings program and indicated that every dollar that sales increase will result in another 25c of expense. That being the case, I hope they have expenses of $800M in the 'old' part of AMD in Q3 - that would mean another $120M in sales!
