Why would someone just give away $31 billion?

Because giving back to the community ultimately creates greater prosperity for the common man.

When we help up those around us, we ourselves are lifted in the process.

I have heard many people here talk of making millions, buying fancy cars, throwing huge parties...which I have no problem with.

BUT...

How many of you plan on following Mr. Buffett's lead?
