Tried it, didn't like it.

Too many problems with futures contango, particularly if the trade was ill timed and is slow to develop.

Decided it's much better to first choose a 3X $SPX, such as SPXU or UPRO, because they track $SPX (or its inverse) much better and they have 3X increased volatility, then increase volatility further by trading their ITM options.
