Just because this is an "empty shell" in your words, that does not mean the company does not still exist. They had oil leases in at least 3 states and one of the actual owners has Russian oil connections. After the whole hijacking and court cases obviously they abandoned this CUSIP. But technically since there was never a court recognized sale of this shell, ownership would default back to the owner of record should they ever decide to catch up on their fines and reinstate docs.
I do not challenge that this shell is just sitting here right now. Just that the company might still exist and operate.
