#39747 RE: donkschmonk #39745

It's very clear simply from the Novarad Website that NovaGlass is first and foremost V3 VDI. It also seems rather obvious that if someone wants to virtualize an app then they can use, for example the Glassware appliance or the Azure offering. That's common sense. It's confusing only because they lump both as "NovaGlass", but it's really about VDI.

It's clear that the focus is on VDI *NOW*. It's also clear that in the early days it was about app virtualization. So the focus certainly shifted.

I don't really know why this is really an issue. Novarad is small and from a revenue standpoint it seems they've delivered close to jack squat and now the company wouldn't even answer Wheeler's question on it.

IMHO the revenue opportunity with Novarad is 95% VDI. Nothing wrong with that, but they are small, and the margins in selling boxes that are basically VMWare software isn't great either. Let's not forget V3 hit a brick wall at 100mph trying to sell this, and failed miserably.

As a general comment the relationship with Novarad seems a bit cozy - down the road in Utah from V3, guest blogs, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but again let's not pretend that Novarad can move the needle in getting ANY out of the massive hole it has dug itself.
