I thought most of the early patients were from US?

tradero, the European centres opened only when the US centres were already open.

The bulk of the Euro centres opened 29th MAY (say JUN).
28 US centres where open at that time.

At the moment that the Euro centres had there first patients (on average we know now with hindsight it took about 5 months per patient) the US centres could already have about 32 patients. Hence 16 CTRL arm patients in 1:1 randomizing.

77 CTRL patients of which at least 13 from the US. And then we don't know because with other centres open and randomizing being a GLOBAL process all depends how many US patients ended up in the control arm. Statistically one would say 50% but practically it can be more or less.

So lets be reasonable and say 50/50 that is neutral. Then (77-13)/2=32 other US patients were in the CTRL arm. That makes it 32+17=49 on 77 or 64% rounded. They had access to Opdivo and that is an IMPORTANT portion of the CTRL arm, sufficient to explain a dramatic out-performance.
