You've seen their product I presume Glen? I concede that even that may not be sufficient "proof of life" for many on this site, but it's strange that an article lifted from the web can apparently be so convincing, yet Smartmetric's achievements are not.
You/we have no idea what is going on in terms of commercial negotiations by Smartmetric, but what little I do know points to a bright future.
It's a big market place and there is room for more than one player anyway.
