No I meant that it was a myth that huge amounts of shorting is going on to better clarify. It can be done but not on a large scale. A very small amount if any. Scammers always use the short excuse when pumping a stock that is tanking when that is not the case.
Most big brokers don't allow shorts in stocks under $5 and most minor off shore brokers don't have thousands of share of this to lend out. So it is not practical that lots of shorting is happening
