In principle, these very distinct and robust excitonic features promise pronounced light-matter interaction and the observation of strong light matter coupling phenomena, excitonic and polariton condensation, or laser emission based on excitonic gain material when the layers are embedded in a suitable microresonator geometry15. In fact, TMDC monolayers have been successfully coupled to photonic crystals16,17, plasmonic structures18–20 and micro-cavities21–25.

Ciciagt I would encourage you to read the paper. One of the lead researchers in from ASU. Dr. Js' old stomping ground, Professor before he went of to KAUST in S.A.

QTMM is in the business to sell metamaterial and this paper represents developments in this field which are high lighted above in bold print. MoSe2 at room temperature in a step forward imo.

Here is the paper:

If you would prefer scroll down to p.13 and read the ref. and that conveys the background material research leading to this development. Gives a very good overall jist.

The fact that QMC is in the nanofabrication business with their microreactors means that they can have another revenue stream in the future, if they choose to. Welcome to the board. Nice timing on your part.
