Although I agree with that thesis of why the regional banks are weak, IR have been low for years yet CUBI has increased earning significantly year after year despite this. I always say there is a way to succeed for financials it is called loan growth it makes you grow despite interest rates. CUBI with around 27% y/y loan growth doesn't need IR to go to have profits do well. That would just be the cherry so getting two increases would be better then nothing for a financial like that. Now a bank who has 1-5% loan growth yes they need rates to go up to get significant growth in my opinion.
