if a stock is red most of the day, it's tyoical to see some extra rush in selling towards the end, ppl exiting, daytraders, those who could not bear any more losses...those thinking of taking new positions in other stocks towards close, and wanted to loosen up some money by selling their "red" stocks, etc.
