Outdoor buds require that cold snap of a frost to bring out the crystals on the flowers. Timing is of the essence during that time. Growers will watch them and the weather like a hawk. Indoors are different with the control of lighting, and temp. Outdoors are obviously subject to the sun i.e. cloudy days. IMO the outdoor strands they will be growing will be strictly for the pre-rolls. High yield plants equals enough bud to produce enough joints for the masses. Think about the way tobacco is farmed for cigs.

Because they are growing outside starting in the spring, the plants will not start to flower till the light is less than 12 hours. The plants will be in the growth cycle a very long time.
