Maui, If true, their tone of "Opteron will change the world" (though they didn't say that today) is not expected to translate into any meaningful ASP and marketshare growth for them for years.

I don´t know what expectations you may have had for Opteron, but so far, everything I have seen and heard on Opteron has exactly matched my expectations, which I posted before the launch. Hmmm...

I think just mechanical 10% growth in sales in Q3 will make AMD cash newtral. They lost 70-80 million of cache in Q2.

Also keep in mind that the June 30 sales, which are suspected to be very good, will go to the Q3. That might be another 10 million, easy.

Obviously, no break-even, but 0 cash change is attainable. Not counting 180 mil from Fujitsu, I mean apple-to-apples here.
