Yes, that's part of the issue as well. We have too many Mods "looking" for a reason to delete a post. In order to support the Mods, if a post "technically" violates the rules, then we don't overturn them. There are too many "technical" reasons with the rules we have that a post can be deleted.
The goal is and has always been "civil discussion". A lot of what gets removed these days, imo, would be fine in a conversation especially in a heated discussion or disagreement.
I don't know how to draw the line that's something that can be enforced with any consistency other than possibly eliminating this all together.
