Actually my mention of asexual reproduction was just a thought, I doubt Kraig would actually need it. I was more thinking that if the moths were all bred to be female, there would be more females to multiply the number of eggs produced in a shorter amount of time, leading to an earlier mass production date. If one imagines such a scenario using two sexual methods, there could be both 'normally' reproducing moths for 'crossing' to get new types, and a second solely for production which would 'only' produce females to multiply the number of eggs to cocoons/silk without the time needed for courtship. But, just the same, thanks for the link to the great video info, Esk, I've already started watching some of it. It's quite complex and I'll watch it in segments to soak it all in, but there's quite a lot of good info there.
