But is there any indication these "rib feet" lend themselves to EBM production? Have any been made this way? Is there any interest in doing so?

There are a lot of parts on an airplane and if EBM could get to be the method of choice for a part where there are many hundreds per plane than this could hold as much potential as LPT Blades, but until such time that such a part is identified and certified and a business case for EBM is made, it is just hopeful thinking...

LPT blades are here and now, they are ready to fly and are the result of years of R&D and testing... and they have tremendous potential to drive machine sales for Arcam in the next year or two... unless CMCs come along and rain on our parade ...
