I think they spend 20 million per year just for compensation. I would say the cost of each test motherboard batch is 200,000, so they probably spent 3-5 million on low volume test motherboard manufacturing. Another 5-10 million for various lab equipment. 10 million for sales. 5 million for the building.

Now remember that they did 500 boxes that they gave to various companies and devolopers for the very minimal price. That was first experimental boxes, costing probably 20-30K each. And they gave them for 3-5K. Another 10 million loss.

This is all very reasonable and must have being expected a while ago.
