I can't say anything but good about Cub

I inherited a 5 year old with only 12 h.p. that came with a cabin I bought in Ky. It had a 50" deck which I'd never seen before and was still going 5 years later when I sold the cabin after doing 4+ rugged, , hilly in places, semi - rocky acres after 10 years. Never any major maintenance, just belts and a clutch.

Before that I had a Simplicity for 11 years at my previous place that ended up with a cracked block. No out of the ordinary maintenance before that.

edit: I grew up with a Gravely walk behind that had a sulky I never used because of too many hills. Naturally I hated it because it was a ball and chain for me during mowing, leaves and snow plowing season - all the time in other words. Heck of an angry old warhorse tho', even had a heavy brush clearing attachment.

I like Briggs and Stratton engines FWIW.

Husqvarna YTH22V46 - $1699.00 + tax = $1851.99

For $150 more due the math for how long it is going to last.

Thanks to all that replied to my other post on lawn mowers. I purchased a 2016 Cub Cadet XT2-LT42 today. The XT2's are only available from authorized dealers so I had to pay the sales tax.

I went in intending on purchasing a Husqvarna but Cub Cadet won out in the end. Not based on price but quality and features, plus it has a better warranty. Only time will tell but I am currently very happy with my purchase.

If you are interested, following is a link to the list of Cub Cadet XT1/XT2 mowers....
