So According to Medtronics website they will be rolling out their "entire" surgical portfolio at SAGES. This will be Medtronics first Sages since the Covidein acquisition. Covidein was the Platinum sponsor last year at SAGES and Medtronic wasn't even there last year. Two things:
1. With this being their first showing as a new conjoined company I am sure they are going to want to make a splash by having a giant floor booth and showing their robot if they have one. (Remember the one "supposedly" due by summer).
2. I believe it will be very telling if we do not see a robot. This is a huge conference in their world and with this being their BIG coming out party I think they would want to puff out their chests and say look at us with our latest and greatest toys. "WE ARE MEDTRONIC"
I for one would love to put SPORT head to head with their robot. I feel our IP alone would take it to them.
Can any of the Ihub guys going to SAGES check out the Medtronic booth and probe about their robot if it is their and if not ask about when we can expect it?
