I think the rec on Yahoo! also became as much a sentiment vote of the holding position of the voter more so than a nod to any great content. I have seen "this stock will fly" or "this stock sux" get double digit votes with no body text within. It is as much a "take that" exclamation point as it is a pointer to good posts.
