The trials the government gave the go-ahead to are transgenic silkworms but NOT for spider silk. They're supposed to be disease resistant and more productive.
These are not the same spider silkworms with the glowing eyes that I posted a year or two ago.
I was making the point that IF the worms we were discussing some time ago were ever ready for trials, it appears the Indian government will be willing and able to push a deal through.
