Yeah those suckers can move hard and fast for sure, especially during news spikes. The only way a trader could be really immune from stuff like that is if they're trading extremely long term stuff like the weekly and monthly charts. They're in the "thousands" as far as pip movements go so a couple hundred pips due to a news spike goes almost unnoticed for them.
