#15295 RE: Mpower #15281

{{The market ran from Dow 6600 (2008) to Dow 18000 (2015). (Tripled in 7 years on the back of Central Bank's printing money --- was there a 'real' reason for the markets to triple in 7 years? I don't think so, just asset bubbles on the back of this quantitative easing -- i certainly didn't feel a 3x 'correction' on mainstreet).}}

The Dow is a flawed metric for many reasons.

The Dow wasn't at 6600 in 2008.

You can pick and chose a date to distort reality. The Dow was 13,900 in Sept 2007 and is 16,000 now, a 15 raise over 7 1/2 years. It was 7000 at the low in Feb 2009 after the financial collapse to 16,000 now, a 228% rise total. Play all the games you want.

By the way, Europe is now finally easing fiscal policy. I thought quantitative easing was stopped some time ago.
