Trouble is if you keep contraband cash the government could: #1 Line you up against the wall and shoot you for economic treason...don't laugh, it's been done before. #2 Send you to jail, #3 Fine you, #4 Impose a tax on the money anytime you tried to buy something, or deposit it, and #5 Declare that paper money is no longer legal tender and has the value of monopoly money.
The only 'money' you can use legally will be money on deposit which of course will be subject to the negative interest rate. Which if they use my numbers could well be -3.0% or greater.
