"A government purchase is not an endorsement for better technology"

It may not be an endorsement, but it is a huge win worth $28 million, and that is worth far more than another boilerplate Press Release or a list of meaningless quotes. I wonder what Sphere investors would prefer: $28 million in revenue or a press release?

And it's a win that Sphere SHOULD have won if it had:

* Glassware embedded in all Dell product
* Superior technology with a far greater cost efficiency
* Deep government contacts

With all those positive attributes I cannot understand why Sphere was not involved in this deal, and did not win it.

PS Re the point made that the government selected old technology. That may have been the case in other deals but not this. The FBI selected state of the art hyper converged appliances from Dell loaded with both state of the art Nutanix and Liquidware Labs software (thanks to another poster for pointing that out).

PS2 We were told Liquidware and Sphere were partners last year. So we have two partners, Dell and Liquidware, delivering a competitive solution, and locking Sphere out.

I cannot understand how Sphere could lose this deal. I still suggest that Sphere should contest this contract award.
