Yeah I believe there is good reason this being held down.. or rather, I consider this a value play and speculate that whatever the reason this is not flying is actually quite positive at its core despite its deceptive appearance.
This weekend we will be getting Chinese FX reserve data.. (whether it's legit or not) if they're substantially different than expectations it could be a big driver for gold either way.
