"Now, are you STILL trying to claim CONgress is a court?" -- how bout you produce a post by me that is claiming congress is a court because pretty sure you won't find one. I provided a definition for the word subpoena along with stating/asking if subpoenas were issued by court authorities that i think you just confirmed Congress does have via your statement "the executive branch (not a court) can issue a subpoena..."

So after all this going round in circles, Congress does have the authority to issue a writ order to attend a court - just as they also have the authority to file criminal contempt charges against those that fail to attend their court/hearings (if they choose to do so) which i would imagine is why most do tend to comply when issued a subpoena from Congress.
