Normally I would agree, but it seems as though the Sherwin Williams is trying to take away sales from PPG in the paint manufacturing segment. They released a PR about their antimicrobial paint in their 3rd quarter conference call, called it a game changer, even though the paint was not set to be release til February this year. Furthermore, PPG already had a patent in 2012 for antimicrobial type paint, and I think Sherwin Williams received more attention for their paint, especially with EPA certification behind.

Since our product is also a potential revenue generator with the EPA backing, why would it be surprising if they released a collaboration or mention of a partnership with HCTI. That would be put them in the spotlight, and allow them to potentially steal more sales from their biggest competitor.

My Point? These F500 companies are developing different products.. The floor and wall coatings are different from marine coatings, hardwood floor coatings, single component polyurethanes, automotive urethane and so on. Co-patents for different products and formulas that are used for different applications would have different agreements. The company stated specifically that this agreement with Industrial Finishes does not affect other definitive agreements reached with other partners. It is a separate agreement.

There are many products in this general category for many different specific uses.

Green Polyurethane™ is the first-ever modified hybrid polyurethane, currently used in coatings and paint, manufactured without the use of toxic isocyanates throughout the entire production process, resulting in a substitute for conventional polyurethane and epoxies, which is hundreds of times less toxic, has superior properties and provides 30-60% in application costs.

Green Polyurethane™ has been thoroughly reviewed and recommended by regulatory agencies as a substitute for conventional polyurethane.
