#143802 RE: chipguy #143800

I upgraded my MacBook in 2014 and it's been great. It does everything that I need and want with plenty of everything left over. Great battery life, portability and usability and I have a W7 VM if I need to run Windows programs - which is seldom these days. If Apple does go Google/Windows on privacy, then I will likely migrate to Linux.

For the cloud, I use a mixture of iCloud, Google, Yahoo, and Zoho. I maintain a Yahoo Mail account because I've had it since the 90s and it has a very short username. I do some email on Google, and use it for Voice and Calendar. I use iCloud for Reminders, Notes and Email and Zoho for small, online spreadsheets though I have been migrating spreadsheets to run locally on the Mac.

We have some Windows 7 and 8.1 systems and I'm unsure of what to do about them when 2020 rolls around.
