The thing about a company like this being acquired, is its SP, 30 VWAP will dictate Value. I doubt shareholders would agree to a 20% premium to the VWAP any time soon. Company needs to perform and get its share price up. Selling a company at or near its bottom isn't too likely. IMHO.

I don't think Japan will be the only nation looking for the next paradigm shift opportunity.

Time ahead will be good for mfgs of qds, imo
