I will type this v e r y slow.

Linux NEVER "gets" to the desk top. The paradigm [game plan, business plan, modus operendi, choose your buzzword, etc] doesn't work.

The idea of linux is to give the software away and sell the services.

NO single or small network user wants this on the desk top;

it is not cost effective.

The only way it works is as a dumb terminal type system, where the "desk top" is run from the server.

Ask IBM 20 years ago, this doesn't sell, either.
