lbm1: Seems to me that Oilman57, Strassenheim and some others - are struggling to reflect to the board the reality of the deepwater drilling market these days. Would guess that Gomes also wants to believe the timeline he has heard from operators.
Would also guess in a couple of years there will be another similar board debate about development plans and why they cannot be right away and why sanction (sometimes calle FID in Nigeria) takes some time.
In my view it is not worth the time arguing it here - maybe ERHC and Addax and Sinopec need to hire board posters to rustle up a rig if they know better.
We will just have to be patient for a some more time.
