First off, they don't have any MEMS patents. They have applications pending... each of which could be rejected in whole or in part.

Second, even if they had issued patents in hand, licensing patents is a very difficult thing to do for small companies!

If they do not have the resources to sue a large company for patent infringement, what good is a patent? To sue an Intel or the like would cost at least $5M and take several years! Without Cooper's backing (i.e. a large legitimate company), why would anyone buy a license? They needed Cooper as their partner to make any licensing deals, IMO. They are now on their own...
