On the you tube video, Ed said the African bank is keeping their old system. (The old system is limited these are my words not his) Myec will allow expanded reach. (again my words) From what I understood, the myed wouldn't work with their system until they established version 2. and that is due to be launched this weekend. It is confusing and more so to people like myself who aren't tech savy.
